TV 2 ZULU – 15 years

TV 2 ZULU turned 15 and wanted to mark it on screen. The brief was an animated anniversary logo and a breaker for the same occasion: two different looks for the same birthday, both with the channel’s own sense of humour.

How I approached it

The idea was that ZULU had now become a teenager – with everything puberty brings. The logo goes through all of it, one letter at a time. On top of that, “TV 2” in the logo was swapped for “15”: after 15 years, ZULU had become fully its own.

The humour is right in line with ZULU, which was by far the country’s zaniest TV channel. The logo ran as an animated channel ident in the top left corner, and the breaker carried the birthday mood over into a red anniversary design.
